Consultation response: Planning for the Future
Planning Aid for London has responded to the Planning White Paper Consultation ‘Planning for the future’, which proposes serious reform to the planning system. The government has published proposals for further reform in planning for consultation.
In our response, PAL argues that significant investment is needed into re-skilling and capacity-building within communities to ensure members of the public can participate in a reformed planning system. PAL is also concerned that the proposed reform will result in less opportunities for public involvement in planning, rather than more, and will further erode trust in the system.
