Governance and finance

Learn more about how Planning Aid for London is governed.

Planning Aid for London is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. We are governed by our Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees is responsible for developing and implementing a long-term strategy for Planning Aid for London. The trustees are subject to charity and company law. They ensure our charitable aims are central to our work. They also do the management of our finances.

We aim to have a diverse board with members from different disciplines and backgrounds. This helps the board bring a variety of skills to the organisation.

Our current trustees are:

Sorwar Ahmed, Street and Spaces Lead - Tottenham Hale, Haringey Council

Jon Barker, Associate Director, Atkins

Patricia Coyle, Principal Planning Officer, Harlow Council

Anne Crane, Area Manager, Transport for London

Finance

Planning Aid for London entered a three-year partnership with the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) in June 2020. The majority of our current work programme is delivered through this partnership. The partnership receives funding from Trust for London. It runs from June 2020 to May 2023,

We are grateful to the TCPA and to Trust for London for their support.
